In John 14, before His betrayal, Jesus foretold about His departure. Knowing the worry hearts of His disciples, Jesus comforted them with the promise of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is the Third person of the Trinity. He plays many roles in every believers as they strive to walk in maturity that reflect Christ.
One of the Holy Spirit's role is to continue the ministries of Jesus by leading the disciples. In the book of Acts, we learned that the disciples waited upon the calling of God before they began their journey in fulfilling the Great Commission. This calling begins with the Holy Spirit (Acts 2:1-4).
Another role is the Teacher. He will be the one who will teach the disciples how to live a life that reflect their Master. He is the one who will anoint their words as they teach and preach the Gospel. The Apostle Paul did not rely on his wisdom but through the wisdom of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is the one whom empower truth and boldness (1 Corinthians 2).
Believers need to rejoice that we have the Holy Spirit. He is the one advocating on our behalf during times of difficulties. He knows our deepest thoughts and struggles when we do not! We can trust in the Holy Spirit to lead us in fulfiling God's Will in our lives (Romans 8).
We encourage you to grow in your reliance in the Holy Spirit. Are you struggling with doubts and stress that is too overwelming? Are you searching for God's purpose in your life? Is there distractions in your life that is deterring your ministries from bearing fruits?
We pray that you trust in the Holy Spirit. Jesus comforted His disciples with the promise of the Helper. His role is to guide you in your daily walk. As you allow Him to lead you, you will bear fruits that reflect Christ (Galatians 5).
May you be a blessing to all who do not know the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
"For I am not ashamed of the Gospel for it is the power of God for salvation for everyone to believe, to the Jews first and also to the Greeks" Romans 1:16
